Noodle Dishes
There is a greata variety of traditional Japanese and introduced Japanized noodle dishes in Japan. Most of the dishes are high in popularity.

Soba
Soba is a native Japanese noodle that is made of buckwheat and wheat flour. The thickness of these noodles are about the same as the thickness spaghetti. It can be served either hot or cold and with a variety of toopings.

Udon
Udon is also another native Japanese noodle that is made from flour. These noodles are thicker than Soba and it can be served coll or hot and with various toppings.

Ramen
Ramen is actually Chinese style noodles prepared with soup and a variety of toppings. This dish was originally from China but have become completely Japanized over time. Ramen is one of the many popular dishes in Japan.

Somen
Somen noodles are often eaten cold. These noodles are like Udon noodles, which are made from wheat flour, however, they are much thinner than Udon and Soba.
