Traditionally, meats are cooked at the center of the table over a charcoal grill, surrounded by a variety of banchan. At traditional restaurants, meats are still prepared using the traditional method. The cooked meat is then cut into smaller pices and wrapped with fresh lettuce leaves, rice,slices of garlic and other seasoning.

Bulgogi
Bulgogi literally means 'fire meat'.The dish is actually thin slices or shredded beef that is marinated in soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic and black pepper, cooked on a grill. Other variations include pork, chicken amd squid.

Galbi
It is also known as Korean BBQ. Pork or beef ribs are cooked on a metal plate over charcoal at the center of the table. the slices of meat are thicker than Bulgogi amd it can either be seasoned or unseasoned.

Samgyeopsal
Samgyeopsal is unseasoned pork bacon cut from the belly. The method for prepareing this dish is the same as Galbi. At times, it is cooked on a grill with kimchee on both sides. Often grilled with garlic and onions, wrapped in lettuce leaves.
